The Reverend Dr. Thomas (Tom) Gregory Tirman, Rector and Senior Pastor

 Father Tom

Fr. Tom was ordained in 1989 and has served parishes in Florida, Ohio, and Indiana, all but one of those years as a Rector (a priest in charge of a parish Church).  He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Religion from Butler University in 1984,  a Master of Divinity degree from Virginia Theological Seminary (Episcopal) in 1989, and a doctoral degree in Parish Revitalization from McCormick Seminary in Chicago in 1997.  A life-long member of the Anglican Church, Tom was born, raised, and even ordained in the Episcopal Church before its actions led him to prayerfully and faithfully disassociate himself from it.  He petitioned the Right Reverend Frank Lyons, the Anglican Bishop of Bolivia for both oversight and protection.  Bishop Lyons accepted Fr. Tirman as a priest in the Northern Convocation of the Diocese of Bolivia effective January 1, 2007.   He and the entire Parish transferred into CANA in October of 2007.  Tom will be planting and forming new congregations in Indiana, and providing disaffected orthodox Episcopalians with viable options for remaining in full Communion within Anglicanism.

Tom is married to Amanda, who is also a life-long Anglican and a microbiologist at Eli Lilly in Indianapolis.  Tom's daughter Stephanie is 16, his son Scott is 15.  Tom and Amanda welcomed a son, Benjamin Scott, who was born June 30, 2007 and is 1!!

Tom has served in many capacities as a priest of the Church.  He has been very active in Cursillo, and was the Spiritual Director of Cursillo in Indianapolis for many years up to his departure.  He was also the Keynote Speaker at the National Episcopal Cursillo Seminar in Kansas City, Missouri in 2006.  Click here to view a video of the Keynote Address

The Reverend Sean Templeton, Assisting Priest

Father Templeton

Father Sean  is a life-long member of the Anglican Church.  He joins our staff on August 1st, and comes to us from Holy Trinity Parish in Milan, Ohio.  Sean is a 2008 graduate of Ashland Theological Seminary in Ashland, Ohio.  He was priested in May of this year.  He will serve all our Missions.

The Reverend Charles (Chuck) F. Conover, Assisting Priest

Father Conover

Father Chuck is a longtime member of the Anglican Church.  He came to the Church in the early 1950's and was confirmed in April of 1953 at St. Alban's Episcopal Church in Highland Park, Michigan.  He married his wife Bonnie at the same church just five months later.   Their two children were born while there in Michigan.

Chuck, Bonnie, and the children moved to Anderson, Indiana in September of 1971 where they immediately became involved in the life of Trinity Church.  Chuck was elected to the Vestry and appointed Senior Warden three different times during his tenure there.  He also was active in many other capacities, including serving as a Chalice Bearer.

Chuck made his Cursillo in 1985 and served on many teams and the Secretariat.  He also worked extensively in Prison Ministry, particularly REC (Residents Encounter Christ - a Cursillo program in prisons).  He has also been very involved in Evangelism and Mission Strategy.

Chuck was called to the ordained ministry and ordained a deacon in June of 1992.  He was ordained a priest by Bishop Frank Lyons of Bolivia on May 17, 2007.

Father Conover was also accepted into the Northern Convocation of the Diocese of Bolivia effective January 1, 2007.  He will work with Father Tirman in planting and forming orthodox Anglican congregations.
